Chromatography

Chromatography is a series of laboratory techniques for the separation of mixtures. It involves dissolving a mixture into a “solvent” which is then passed through through a stationary filtration media which selectively or differentially separates different molecules in the mixture and allows it to be isolated. Chromatography can be used to prepare chemicals for further research or as an analytical technique to identify chemicals in a mixture.
