Omachron is able to take 100% pre or post-consumer plastic and transform it into finished goods with excellent material properties and aesthetics. The process is so effective that the output can even take the form of the product originally recycled. This contrasts with conventional, plastic-recycling processes that require a large proportion of virgin material mixed with the recycled material.
This remarkable accomplishment is achieved by a new injection-molding system that operates on low pressure, consumes low amounts of energy, and occupies a small footprint.
Case Study 1:
A manufacturer of HDPE plumbing fittings has waste product from its molding process that is ground down.
The Omachron molding equipment allows the manufacturer to utilize up to 100% regrind to mold plastic parts identical in appearance and mechanical properties to parts made from virgin material. A true "no waste" process.
Case Study 2:
A manufacturer of PVC plumbing fittings has waste product from its molding process that is ground down.
The Omachron molding equipment allows the manufacturer to utilize 100% regrind to mold plastic parts identical in appearance and 99.3% as strong as parts made entirely from virgin material (one of the case study can be found here), even after utilizing material reground as many as 10 times.
Case Study 3:
A manufacturer of foamed polyethylene products has scrap material from its machining and fabricating process that is ground into small pieces. Omachron is able to take this material and mold it into a finished block from which other products can be machined or fabricated by the manufacturer.
Omachron can set you up to make finished product economically from virgin or scrap material. It can also take your regrind and make parts for you. Either way, all the regrind can be used efficiently. Both you and the environment win.
